SUMMARY:ReIgnite Programme
DESCRIPTION:Reignite Programme: 11 week training course  \nThe Ludgate hub has been announced as 1 of the 6 awardees under Rethink Ireland’s Rural Recovery Fund 2021. The fund was set up to combat the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on rural Ireland. \nAccording to Rethink Ireland\, “Economic disadvantage\, lack of job and educational opportunities and social isolation are some of the most crucial challenges facing rural Ireland.” \nThrough the Ludgate Reignite Programme we will support women in West Cork who wish to return to work to rebuild their confidence\, develop appropriate professional skills and ultimately support them to re-enter the workforce. We will do this by providing an 11 week tailored training\, coaching and mentoring programme followed by a work experience placement. The content is tailored to the specific challenges faced by women returners in rural areas of Ireland. This funding will allow us to run the programme twice\, supporting at least 20 women\, 70% of whom it is expected will go on to secure employment. \nFurther details to be confirmed.
