SUMMARY:"Perfecting your Pitch"
DESCRIPTION:As part of our Propeller series we are delivering a 2 part mini series around the Artform of Communication in business:\n \n24th February We will welcome Eamon Curtin of Ignite in UCC to present on this episode. During the 45 minute presentation we will cover the important elements of a pitch and how they can help you become a more professional\, confident\, and persuasive entrepreneur. \nOne of the challenges that entrepreneurs face is how to build and perfect their pitch. A pitch needs to be created\, presented\, reviewed and refined continuously until the right balance is achieved. It is important to consider who you are pitching to\, why you are pitching to them and what is the story that you are telling them. It is not always easy to articulate the brand story and value proposition effectively\, while keeping audience members (and more importantly\, potential investors) engaged and interested. \nEach pitch will be different\, depending on the audience\, but they all incorporate the same fundamentals that play a critical role in how your company is received via your pitch. \nJoin Fiona Ryan of Ludgate and Eamon Curtin of Ignite\, UCC\, on Thursday\, February 24\, 2022 at 8.30am for an interactive session that will make you pitch-perfect and help to elevate your business. \n \n

SUMMARY:Down To Earth - Horticulture Easter Camp
DESCRIPTION:Plant the seeds to success with the Ludgate Education Easter camp! \n  \nIf your kids have a green thumb and love to work outdoors\, the Ludgate Education Easter camp could be the perfect choice for you. \nSeeds and paraphernalia will be provided. \nThe camp will be a split format and delivered online. \nAn introduction to the days session will take place in the morning and a feedback session in the afternoon. \n  \nWhat does a job in Horticulture entail? \n  \nHorticulture is the science of plants. In a practical sense\, this means working outdoors with trees and flowers. It can include landscaping and decoration. It is perfect for practical kids with an artistic flair. \nFor the more scientific\, horticulture can extend in the agricultural landscape too. Working with growers to maximise food production is another possible outcome for qualified horticulturalists. \nA beautiful community can result in a higher quality of life for those that live in the area\, so working in this field can make a big difference to where you live and work too. \n  \nWhat will I learn? \n  \nThe Easter camp will introduce participants with all the knowledge of design for a range of different settings. \nIt will include: \n\nIdentification of plants \nUses of plants and why we grow what we grow \nWork Practices \nHow to grow plants\, and the best methods to do so. \nThe science of growing \nThis includes learning to use common tools and techniques to maximise growing \nPropagation \nDesign \n\nModern ideas within horticulture\, such as environmentalism and sustainability will also play a strong role in learning.
