SUMMARY:Remote Working Training for administrators in BCPs & Hubs (Starter Course) - 9th Nov
DESCRIPTION:The Remote Working Training is focused on the training of administrators in Broadband Connection Points (BCPs) and Community Hubs\, facilitating remote working in line with government policy. Ludgate will provide virtual training and supports to BCP’s and Community Hubs in Ireland. The training programme is innovative and dynamic and designed to meet the challenges faced in rural Ireland. \nThe content is novel and specific to the remote working and organisational challenges of BCP’s and community Hubs.  \nSummary content will include 1. vision\, 2. landscape\, 3. strategy\, 4. business of a hub\, 5. management 6. organisational structure 6. financials\, 7. services\, 8. stakeholder management\, 9. marketing and 10. Unique selling points. \nThe material is based on Ludgate’s journey but also the experience of others. The live virtual classes will be supported by the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) which will contain the recordings of the sessions\, further reading material\, relevant links\, videos and a unique Hub Academy eBook that charts and shares Ludgate’s ‘how to’ and operational manual. A number of relevant templates and resources will also be made available to the participants. If participants are unable to attend the live sessions\, a recording of the session will be placed in the LMS. \n  \nWho should sign up? The training sessions are aimed at BCP’s and Community Hubs at different stages of their journey and as such separate sessions will be offered for each cohort. \nIf you are\, \n• Considering – a community group who is considering starting a BCP or a Community Hub. \n• Developing – a community group who is actively developing a BCP or Community Hub. \n• Expanding – an existing BCP or Community Hub who is expanding their offering to remote workers. \nthis training is for you. DESCRIPTION:The Ludgate Hub will welcome Kevin Curran\, Head of Enterprise at LEO\, and Deirdre O’ Mahoney\, Senior Enterprise Development Officer at LEO on Thursday 18th November 2021.  \nBoth Kevin and Deirdre will present on the various supports available through Cork North and West Local Enterprise Office focusing specifically on the educational and financial supports available for those that are thinking of starting their own business or are already established\, identifying the T’s and C’s associated and the best supports available for the various stages of Business .  \nThis event is for you if: \n\nyou are planning to commence a start-up business and have no idea what steps to take in order to make this start-up business successful. \nIf you have already executed a start-up business idea & want to know the best supports available to make your start-up business successful.\n If you already have an established business & want to know more about the supports available to you and your business broadening your knowledge and financial base to sustain\, succeed and grow. \n\nAs we navigate through Covid times we want to welcome people back to the Ludgate Facility for events however we must proceed with caution and in accordance with HSE and Government guidelines therefore we are welcoming a maximum of 12 people in attendance at the Ludgate Hub\, Skibbereen on the 18th November.
