Pathway to Innovate: A Day of Ideas and Collaboration at Ludgate Hub

Pathway to Innovate: A Day of Ideas and Collaboration at Ludgate Hub 🚀

Ludgate Hub was buzzing with creativity and collaboration on October 16th as we hosted our latest Pathway to Innovate Clinic — a day dedicated to helping SMEs and entrepreneurs explore new ways to grow, adapt, and innovate.

The event brought together business leaders, innovation experts, and regional partners for an inspiring and practical discussion on how innovation can drive meaningful change across all sectors.

A Day of Inspiration and Insight

A huge thank you to Gavin Jeffery and Rachel Delaney for organising such a fantastic event, and to Kathryn Lynch of Chronos Consulting for expertly facilitating the day’s sessions and encouraging everyone to think differently about innovation.

We were also inspired by Fiona Ryan, who shared Colata’s remarkable growth story, and by Dermot Casey, who led an engaging panel exploring the challenges and opportunities of innovation in today’s business landscape.

Collaboration Across the Region

The event featured contributions from a range of innovation and enterprise experts, including AIB, Enterprise Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta, Taste 4 Success Skillnet, Cork Chamber, Nimbus Research Centre, R&D Tax Solutions, and IRDG – Driving Irish Innovation. Their practical insights and advice gave attendees a clear sense of what’s possible when innovation is powered by collaboration.

Reflecting on the day, Andrew de Juan summed it up perfectly:

“Innovation doesn’t necessarily mean novel inventions, but implementing positive change that’s evidence-based and fuelled by human collaboration. You can’t steer a stationary ship.”

Capturing the Day

A special thank you to Lioba Mases for capturing the energy and spirit of the day through her fantastic photos and videos — stay tuned as we share highlights from the event across our channels.

Looking Ahead

We’re already busy planning our next event, Sales Meets Innovation: The Masterclass for Commercial Growth, taking place on Wednesday, November 5th. This two-hour session with Alan Maguire, Founder & CEO of ESI, will explore how aligning innovation and sales can unlock real commercial success.

At Ludgate, we believe innovation thrives where community, creativity, and collaboration come together — and this event was a powerful reminder of just that.
